Set Up a Night Shift in DIP Line

In response to the production mode of high mix and low volume and the customer order’s type changed currently, the production schedule become shortly and rapidly. The materials become more difficult to satisfy for different customer, so we make different professional position to control the volume for the policy of company.
In the chain of production stage from sales receiving order to finish goods to be shipping ,our operation time was compressed ,so how to respond to this environment of change?
It would be flexible to adjust the production mode to use of limited space and equipment in exchange for time. The equipment is not used in the night, currently, we will plan to set up the night shift in DIP line and increase the production capacity. It can enhance the utilization rate in the plant space and equipment to save the company operating costs.
Therefore ,in order to achieve the goal ,we will depend on the actual production capacity changes and divide two phases implement as following：
The first phase：To set up a middle shift of DIP line, the working time is from 16:00 to 24:00, totally 8 hours, the shift staff is a total of 8 people and will be based Philippine colleagues.
The second phase：When the capacity is full loading in the middle shift and will set up a night shift of DIP line, the working time is from 19:30 to 8:30, totally 11 hours, the shift staff is a total of 15 people.
Following the night shift set up plan in DIP department, the staff training will be performed from starting in October. It also depends on the SMT with the fourth line establishment in the Q4 and the customer orders and volume increasing conditions to move forward for this plan. We expect the goal will be completed before the end of 2011.The DIP capacity increasing, are not only can meet the customer delivery requirements, will help the company creates more profits and achieves the sustainable development goal.
